Break times

Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the break times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.

Official hours of attendance at school are from 9:00am to 3:00pm. School supervision commences at 8.30 am. Students are not to be on school grounds prior to this time unless they are registered and attending with OOSH services. After school, teacher supervision ends at 3.00pm.

We recommend to parents to aim to drop-off at 8:55am at the latest, to ensure that children have time to come in before their class leaves morning lines. We expect that students from Kindergarten to Year 6 say goodbye to parents and carers at the gate and make their own way to their COLA. This gives every child the opportunity to settle before class and connect with their friends, while building the independence that will make them confident learners.

It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our admin office.

Our break times

We don’t have a bell at MWDS. Our students and teachers navigate the rhythms and routines of the day without one. It reduces interruptions to learning and also the impact on students who may be noise sensitive.

We have a number of breaks during the day and break times are listed below. Please note, these times vary depending on the day.
